About Our eBay Code Generator

eBay does not allow the use of iFrames. This causes a problem for you when you go to add a YouTube video to your eBay listing because the default video player makes use of iFrames. In order to solve this problem, you need to use YouTube's object embed code. Up until recently, YouTube had an option to quickly allow users to obtain this "old embed code." This option has now been removed from YouTube. This code converter allows you to enter a YouTube video URL, and it will generate the old embed code that is compatible with eBay.

Step 1: Enter the YouTube URL

Simply copy and paste the URL of the YouTube video that you would like to be able to use on eBay. Our code converter will generate the "old embeded code" that is compatiable with eBay.

Step 2: Pick Your Settings (Optional)

You can customize your YouTube video by adjusting the settings below. Feel free to leave them as default, or adjust as desired.

YouTube videos must have a viewport that is at least 200px by 200px. If the player displays controls, it must be large enough to fully display the controls without shrinking the viewport below the minimum size. YouTube recommends 16:9 players be at least 480 pixels wide and 270 pixels tall.

You can essentially set the width and height to anything you want. But, YouTube uses 16:9 aspect ratio players. If you don't want pillar boxes (black bars on the left and right), then we recommend using 16:9 aspect ratios. Common 16:9 ratios are 426x240, 640x360, 854x480, and 1280x720. But use whatever you want!

Progress Bar Color

This parameter specifies the color that will be used in the player's video progress bar to highlight the amount of the video that the viewer has already seen. The default color is red.

This parameter indicates whether the video player controls will display.

Show Related Videos

This parameter indicates whether the player should show related videos when playback of the initial video ends.

Make it Mobile Responsive

To make your YouTube video mobile responsive, we add inline styling to the output. You can test the output by resizing your browser window and watching the video resize.

Show Info

If you set this parameter not to show info, then the player will not display information like the video title and uploader before the video starts playing.

Modest Branding

This parameter lets you use a YouTube player that does not show a YouTube logo. Set the parameter value to Modest Branding to prevent the YouTube logo from displaying in the control bar.
